Today is World Book Day, and appropriately enough we launched our rare books workshop for schools this morning. P4 from St Peter’s Primary School visited us and learned about our collections and how we take care of them. The pupils got a sneak-peek at some 400-year-old books, and learned about the different types of bindings. They also saw some marvellous bookplates and got to design and make their very own ones to take away.
