To celebrate Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday the University of Aberdeen is hosting a variety of talks and events. We decided to celebrate too by running a Family Fun afternoon inspired by the classic illustrations in Dickens’ novels. We have a number of first editions in the Special Collections Centre. There are top hats and bonnets galore in the illustrations so we made our own and dressed up as Dickensian characters. Have a look at the pictures below to see how we got on.
